Protection

We have chosen to protect ourselves by the use of natural barriers. We have the Mediterranean Coast to the North. We also have the deserts to the East and West of the Nile. Lastly we have the First Cataract on the Nile at Aswan. Also, to promote peace we are not into invading or conquering other nations. This, combined with the fact that we have the surrounding natural protection makes us a very safe region. The surrounding areas are shown on the map.

Regular Standing Army

We never saw the need for an Organized Standard Army until we were invaded by the Hyksos. This incident caused us to start organizing our own army. We feel that there is a possibility of invasion at any time and this is why we chose to begin organizing our own army.
